A couple of updates!

Hi people, how are we? I hope everyone is great and loving life! I thought I’d post a quick note to talk about some recent updates and what I have in store for you in the very near future with the blog! Well I’d like to start by thanking everyone for their support with the blog, your feedback has been great and really appreciated! The whole point of the blog in the first place was to offer some tips and help make your journey through the art a little easier and more fun! However I never realised just how much fun I would have doing so or how much I would learn myself! πŸ™‚

Anyway, I am in the process of applying some of the ideas that you have shared with me. To start with I have delved in to some of my training albums and added a few photos to some of the posts to break up the writing a little! I am also in the process of filming and photographing a few techniques for the blog. This is something that I had planned to do from day one but hadn’t yet gotten around to… Rest assured you will start to see these very soon! I am also contemplating putting up a few interviews with various BJJ/MMA fighters, please let me know if that is something that interests you? Finally if there is anything in particular that you’d like to read about please leave me a comment and I’ll see what I can do! πŸ™‚ Thanks for your input and I look forward to the future!

Good luck with your training and Happy rolling!

Really interested to see what u post mate. Any interviews would be great, maybe over subjects like, strategy, training techniques and their thoughts on the evolution of bjj.

Everything that you’ve posted so far has been great. Keep em coming bro!

I always enjoy hearing more about the history of BJJ (hence this monster post), so anything about the development of BJJ in Australia would be cool.

As far as I’m aware, the two main guys responsible for bringing it over were Peter de Been (Gracie Barra) and John Will (Machado), but I haven’t heard many anecdotes about the old days from people training down under.

Hey Slideyfoot, I’ll see what I can dig up mate! Nice post by the way, it was an entertaining read! I’ll be sure to check back now and then to see how its going.

And yes you’re right John Will started the movement here along wihPeter De Been, Richard Norton and a few others all making their contributions!

Thanks again for the input and have a great day!
      Kind Regards

Cool, I look forward to it! Might start having a look around myself. Would be nice to eventually add a ‘BJJ in Australasia’ section to the history. ;D

I guess I’ll get the ball rolling by sending around a few emails and seeing if some of the pioneers are interested in sharing their stories! And I’m sure we can make it happen!
        Kind Regards
        Felipe
